Palawan is ranked #4 on TripAdvisor’s list of the best places in 2024.
With popular vacation locations like Tokyo, Seoul, and Vietnam’s Halong Bay, Asia is set to dominate the tourism industry in 2024. And among TripAdvisor’s list of the top 10 trending destinations for the year, Palawan Island in the Philippines came in at number four.
The increasing appeal of Asian travel locations is highlighted by TripAdvisor’s annual analysis, which goes through millions of reviews and ratings for hotels and restaurants. Traveler interest has shifted significantly from years past, when renowned destinations like Dubai, Bali, and London topped the lists.
Travelers looking for uncommon and unusual experiences have taken notice of Palawan, which is renowned for its breathtaking natural beauty and immaculate beaches. Its ranking among the top ten trending locations reflects a larger tendency towards taking less-traveled routes.
Nearly four years after the travel limitations due to the epidemic, there is a resurgent interest in Asian places, as seen by the list, which has eight out of ten entries. Tokyo is in the lead thanks to a rise in tourism and the reopening of Japan’s border in October 2022. Travelers are still drawn to Japan despite difficulties such as the earthquake that struck the Noto Peninsula and the fire that broke out at Haneda Airport.
With two entries—Halong Bay and Sapa—Vietnam stands out as a country that is becoming more and more popular due to its natural scenery and cultural offerings. Seoul’s dynamic urban environment, which combines modern and traditional elements, is likewise highly regarded.
As travelers look for distinctive and culturally diverse experiences after the epidemic, there has been a shift in travel trends towards Asian countries, particularly the emergence of Palawan.
