They performed a “buwis-buhay” and emotional entry promoting responsible use of cellphones and social media which immediately trended all over social media. They emphasize the negative impact of not using gadgets and social media properly including neglecting family time. The result was revealed during the noontime show’s episode on Saturday, November 11 and was announced by ABS-CBN’s Chief Operating Officer for Broadcast Cory Vidanes. On the other hand, Team Anne Curtis, Ogie Alcasid and Ryan Bang was named second place while Team Vhong Navarro, Jugs Jugueta, Teddy Corpuz was announced third place. The Magpasikat 2023 Champion and two winning teams received cash prizes of Php 300,000, Php 200,000, and Php 100,000, respectively. The runners-up, Team Vice Ganda, Jackie Gonzaga, and Cianne Dominguez, as well as Team Karylle, Amy Perez, Lassy, and MC, received a cash prize of Php 50,000 each. The cash prizes will be donated to the charities of their choice. After announcing the Magpasikat 2023 Champion, Vice Ganda gave an emotional message. “Ever since naman, Showtime has always been colorful, ‘di ba? Pero this year talaga, it’s been extra colorful,” Vice Ganda said. “Grabe yung pagpapalit ng kulay. Grabe yung pagpapalit ng emosyon. Grabe yung pagpapalit ng oras. Grabe yung bilis ng panahon. Grabe yung pagdating ng mga pangyayari. And we’re still here. Look at us, we’re still here celebrating and winning,” he added. As one of the show’s main hosts, Anne said that the “It’s Showtime” family may not be a “perfect” one, but it is a “true family.” “The memories that we make together and with the madlang people, for me, those memories, both good and bad, are perfect because it makes us a true family,” she said. The other hosts also turned emotional as they thanked each other and the madlang people for not giving up on the challenges and supporting one another. In the November 11 episode, a visually stunning and engaging presentation was showcased, which took a look back at the show’s past accomplishments and hurdles, including a 12-day suspension from the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB). Despite these obstacles, “It’s Showtime” persevered and continued to spread happiness to its devoted audience. The group successfully presented their individual dance performances, demonstrating the negative impacts and dangers of mobile technology on its users. Jhong depicted a husband longing for genuine human relationships, Kim portrayed an influencer pretending to have a wealthy lifestyle, and Ion portrayed a restaurant server who fell victim to the harsh consequences of social media’s cancel culture. They enhanced the excitement by performing impressive parkour moves together on a makeshift giant pegboard, without any safety equipment, after their intense solo contemporary dance routines. Team JKI concluded their performance by asking a thought-provoking question that made us reconsider our behavior: “How responsible are you when it comes to using a cell phone?” The presentation that showcased confidence and relevance garnered the highest praise, earning 9.6 points from the combined evaluations of respected judges Olivia Lamasan, Jett Pangan, Apl.de.ap, Barbie Forteza, and Tirso Cruz III. The judges were impressed by Team JKI’s creative and impactful presentation that showcased the potential dangers of mobile technology. Their performance, which combined dance, drama, and acrobatics, left a lasting impression on the panel. Direk Olive praised the team’s effort, calling it “outstanding,” while Jett described it as the embodiment of the phrase “action speaks louder than words.” Barbie, Apl, and Tirso were equally amazed by how Team JKI used a common device like a cell phone to convey a powerful message.
