Former Bills Guard Ike Boettger’s Wife Supports Him After Release

Ike Boettger’s wife, Megan, took to social media to share a moving message of support after the former Buffalo Bills guard was released from the team on Tuesday.

“Proud of you, Ike,” Megan wrote on Instagram. “Through thick and thin, you’ve always shown up and given it your all. I know this is just a small setback, and you’ll be back on your feet in no time. I love you more than words can say.”

Boettger, 27, was a sixth-round pick by the Bills in 2018. He started 16 games at right guard in 2020, but he lost his starting job to Cody Ford in 2021. Boettger was also injured for most of the season.

Despite the setbacks, Megan said she is proud of her husband for his work ethic and determination.

“You’re the strongest, most resilient person I know,” she wrote. “You never give up, and you always keep fighting. I know you’ll achieve great things in the future.”

Boettger has not yet announced his plans for the future, but he said he is grateful for the opportunity to have played for the Bills.

“I want to thank the Buffalo Bills organization for the opportunity to play for them,” he said in a statement. “I’m grateful for the support of my teammates, coaches, and staff. I’m excited to see what the future holds.”

Megan said she is confident that Boettger will land on his feet.

“I know you’ll land on your feet,” she wrote. “You’re a talented player, and you have a bright future ahead of you. I’m so proud of you, and I love you always.”

Boettger’s release is a tough blow, but Megan’s message of support is a reminder that he has the love and support of his family and friends. He is a talented player with a bright future, and I am confident that he will overcome this setback and achieve great things.
